


Maxim Voznesenskiy was born in 1965 in the village Alol, Pskov Oblast, into an artistic family and his interest in jewellery design stemmed from a young age. His mother, Svetlana Popova, was a painter and overcoming the difficulties of being deaf, she made her way in the world of art. His father — Leonid Voznesenski. Maxim's great-grandfather on his mother's side was a Bishop in the Russian Orthodox Church. Voznesenskiy graduated in Design at the Moscow Arts and Crafts School in 1983, specialising in jewellery. Between 1983-85 he completed his Military Service in the Soviet Army. He then studied at the Moscow Institute of Architecture for three years. In 1991 he graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Moscow State Pedagogical University.

Maxim Voznesenskiy actively begins to create and exhibit his own jewellery. He becomes a member of the Union of Artists and his collection is acquired by the State Museum of Fine Arts in Yekaterinburg.

Maxim Voznesenskiy and the talented artist Irina Dorofeyeva together create the House of Jewellery: "Jewellery Theatre".

The idea of presenting jewellery in a theatrical way gave rise to the creation of the "heel" — a flat shape on the lower part of the ring allowing it to stand freely, like an "actor" on the stage. Awarded diploma for "constructive design".

Maxim Voznesenskiy designed and created the collection "The diamond in the Russian avant-garde" for the Alrosa Company. On Voznesenskiy's initiative contemporary Russian art jewellers were invited to participate and show their talent world-wide. Voznesenskiy's creation: the "White triangle ring" was gifted by Alrosa to the museum's permanent collection.

Jewellery from this collection, together with objcets d'art from the epoch of Faberge, were shown in the exhibition curated by Voznesenskiy: "Diamonds of Russia in the XX Century" in the Bell Tower of the Moscow Kremlin in collaboration with the Kremlin Museum, Alrosa and the Russian State depository.

Maxim Voznesenskiy opens his private boutique at Dukat Palace, 7 Gasheka St. Moscow. The Jewellery Theatre boutique opens at the prestigious address on 2, Kutuzovsky Prospect, Moscow.


Maxim Voznesenskiy creates and exhibits a collection for the "Russian Tahitian Pearl Trophy" and is awarded the prize for the best jewellery.

With Maxim Voznesenskiy as artistic director "Jewellery Theatre" takes part in Baselworld: the world watch & jewellery show. Due to the continued success of "Jewellery Theatre" over the years, it achieves a place on the prestigious First Avenue of Baselworld.


Maxim Voznesenskiy's creation of a pair of cufflinks and a pendant in the shape of a pearl egg, in honour of the memory of the great jeweller Faberge are gifted to the present King and Queen of Spain on their Wedding Day.

This project, conceived and curated by Maxim Voznesenskiy, culminated in the exhibition-performance: "Diamond Tribute" with unique stones and pieces of art jewellery, much of which created by Voznesenskiy, and for which the 103 carat d/fl cushion diamond was brought to Moscow.

The project "Representation of beauty" created by Maxim Voznesenskiy, together with photographer Vladimir Klaviho, renowned graphic designer Boris Trofimov, and twelve outstanding women representative of Russian culture, marked the 10th anniversary of Jewellery Theatre.

Maxim Voznesenskiy designs and presents a new Crown for the "Miss Russia" contest. This Crown is not only beautiful, but also deeply symbolic of the historic ties between Byzantium art and ancient Russia.

A new Maxim Voznesenskiy flagship boutique opens on London's Bond Street, later to be renamed Jewellery Theatre

Maxim Voznesenskiy's creation of a Magical Box was gifted to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.


Alrosa Company and Maxim Voznesenskiy cede the collection "The Diamond in the Russian avant-garde" to the Museum of the Moscow Kremlin

Inspired by London where he now lives and works Maxim Voznesenskiy, under his new professional name Maxim V, founds and Maxim V launches his new brand Maxim V, where Art Jewellery is the main philosophy of the brand.

Maxim Voznesenskiy begins to explore new artistic directions such as painting, sculpture and installation. The uniqueness of his approach is in the use of precious materials and jewellery in unusual ways.
